my songs

Today I would like to talk about the music that CHANGED my life. Nirvana- “Smells like teen spirit” I remember first time listening to this song when I was in high school. Somehow I could easily connect myself with this song. Now I think about it I was under stress and I didn’t know how to express it through anything; yes it was one of those times you really don’t have any reasons to get mad but yet you are angry and unsatisfied. Kurt Cobain, the vocal of the band truly captured the X-Generation youth’s anger. Starting out with catchy guitar riffs then followed by explosive drum beats. This is the perfect example of grunge music and this song is the one broke through the mainstream media, despite the fact guitar sounds really crappy compare to other rock genre. Kurt Cobain’s raspy voice will not make you stop listen to this song. In fact, it will draw you into Nirvana’s world.

Another song that changed my life would be song called “Imagine” by John Lennon. I personally considered myself as a pacifist. Mellow piano tunes just go perfect with John Lennon’s heartfelt voice speaks out the importance of peace. Simple beats of drum joins in and plays important role in the bridge. Not to mention they are only 2 instruments are used for this song. This song is truly heart moving song that talks about my personal ideal world. I also hope for world peace. Even some might call me an idealist but I’m not the only one. And this song taught me I’m the only one in this world.
